Healthy pH values are of utmost importance for cancer patients. However, it is not only cancer patients who have to balance the pH values in their body. Every human being on this planet should increase alkalinity in their bodies in order to maintain health at optimal level.
“The human body goes to great lengths to maintain a slightly alkaline pH of 7.35, but poor diet and stress can change pH to an acidic one in which disease can thrive,” as explained by Raw Food Health.
Unfortunately, our poor dietary habits create acidic environment in our bodies. Snacks, processed and fast foods, microwave meals, and sugary treats are the worst food choices for cancer patients. Their vulnerable organism requires more healthy foods in order to survive.
We have listed the most important dietary changes you should introduce:
Unhealthy food harms pH values, and increases acidity, which in turn creates perfect soil for abnormal cancer cells to develop. Alkaline foods restore this balance, and reduce inflammation.
Eat more organic leafy greens, broccoli, root veggies, herbs and spices, beans, lentils and peas, cauliflower and cabbage, garlic, onions, leek, and chives, nuts and seeds. Reduce the consumption of non-gluten grains like rice.
Have 2-4 ounces of grass-fed meats, clean fish, and organic poultry just a few times a week. Focus on fresh fruits and veggies.
Gluten causes inflammation, so you may want to eat les glutinous grains like whole grains, rye, wheat, etc. pasta, cereals, cakes, bread, muffins, crackers, cookies, and other baked goods are also bad for you.
Include more non-gluten grains like quinoa, rice, buckwheat, amaranth, and millet. Keep in mind that ‘gluten-free’ prepared goods contain unhealthy portions of sugar and processed oils.
Cancer cells ‘eat’ more glucose than healthy cells. This is why cancer patients should not eat sugar at all. Moreover, sugar sucks body’s magnesium reserves, and stimulates cancer growth. You do not need “natural” sugars, too. This means no honey and agave. You can always have a few figs, dried apricots, unsweetened applesauce or just a few slices of fresh pineapple.
Prof. T. Colin Campbell, Ph.D., Cornell University, conducted a study according to which cow dairy is the worst cancer promoter. It is all about the casein protein found in dairy.
If you fight cancer, avoid dairy products at any cost. These cause bone deterioration, because of the increased production of acids. Cow dairy also causes inflammation, and leads to cancer proliferation.
